"For his directorial debut, Jamisin Matthews emerges from his usual role in front of the camera to attempt a dangerous feat for one who admits he has much to learn about directing. Into the blender of Rogun went a volatile shot of childhood, adolescent, and adult inspirations ranging from Robert Rodriguez to Kenji Misumi, Roy Lichtenstein to Tsui Hark, Paul Morrissey to Russ Meyer. For his next project, The Fall of Itaya, he hopes to sharpen his filmmaking tools, harnessing those nuances of lighting, dialogue, and the discipline of duration to give due style and respect to his eclectic influences."--Dr. A.
